World Population Day 2026 Celebration
The VIII Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of Ahalia College of Nursing observed World Population Day 2026 at the Family Health Centre (FHC), Ozhalapathy, to raise awareness about population-related issues and promote responsible family practices.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Nipun, Medical Officer, FHC Ozhalapathy. The event was conducted in line with the 2026 theme, “Realizing the hopes and aspirations of young people – today and for the future.”
The students conducted a health awareness session on family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, population stabilization, and informed decision-making regarding family size. Outpatients and ASHA workers actively participated in the session, interacted with the students, and appreciated the informative programme.
The event concluded successfully, enhancing community awareness and encouraging responsible family planning practices.
