Ahalia College of Nursing, Palakkad, welcomed 129 students and 3 faculty members from Ganga College of Nursing, Coimbatore, for an educational visit on 23 July 2026 as part of their Nursing Management curriculum.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome and an orientation session introducing the vision, mission, philosophy, and academic excellence of Ahalia College of Nursing. The visitors were also familiarized with the institution’s educational facilities, innovative teaching-learning practices, and the multidisciplinary healthcare services available within the Ahalia campus.
As part of the visit, the students toured the college’s academic infrastructure, including the classrooms, nursing skill laboratories, library, and auditorium. They also visited the major clinical facilities, namely Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Ahalia Women & Child Health Care (AWACH), Ahalia Diabetes Hospital (ADH), and the Ayurveda Hospital, where they gained valuable insights into hospital organization, nursing administration, patient care services, and interdepartmental coordination.
Although the Ahalia Health Heritage & Knowledge Village visit was included in the schedule, it could not be conducted due to time constraints. The participants, however, enjoyed a visit to the Sculpture Park, adding to their overall campus experience.
The programme concluded with an interactive session and feedback, during which the participants appreciated the well-planned educational experience and the opportunity to observe best practices in nursing education and healthcare management. The visit strengthened academic collaboration between the two institutions and provided the students with meaningful practical exposure to nursing management in a real-world healthcare setting.
