The World Cancer Day Awareness Programme was organized by the 2nd Year B.Sc. Nursing students of Ahalia College of Nursing, Palakkad at Thangam Hospital under the guidance of Prof. Nithya and Mrs. Divya to promote awareness about cancer prevention and early detection. The programme began with a welcome speech by Sneha, followed by an address by Gowri N.S. A skit on cancer awareness was performed by Aswathy, with Aarcha portraying a doctor to highlight the importance of early diagnosis. A presentation on different types of cancer was delivered by Ardhra, Syama, Adithya, Bhagya, and Ananthika, and a myth-breaking session was conducted by Anjana to clarify common misconceptions about cancer. The Chief Guest, Dr. M. Ponraj (Medical Oncologist) delivered an awareness talk on the causes, warning signs, prevention, and treatment of cancer. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sneha, and it was informative in spreading awareness among the participants.
