ResusXcellence 2026 Equips Nursing Students with Life-Saving Resuscitation Skills

Ahalia College of Nursing, Palakkad, successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “ResusXcellence 2026 – Guardian of the Golden Hour: Hands-on Skills from Flatline to Lifeline” on 20th June 2026. The workshop was conducted with the objective of enhancing the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence of nursing students in managing life-threatening emergencies during the Golden Hour.

The program witnessed the participation of 100 attendees, including students and faculty members from Ellen College of Nursing, Coimbatore, JK College of Nursing, Coimbatore, and Ahalia College of Nursing.

The workshop featured a series of informative and hands-on sessions led by eminent healthcare professionals. Dr. Mohan and Dr. Praveen conducted an engaging session on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups, supported by live demonstrations and educational videos that enhanced participants’ understanding of the procedures. Dr. Mohan also delivered a session on the management of airway obstruction in adults and children.

Dr. Vaishnav conducted a practical session on airway management, while Dr. Ayfuna demonstrated the effective use of defibrillators during emergencies. Dr. Praveen led an interactive session on identifying tachycardia and bradycardia, followed by an integrated cardiac arrest care session conducted jointly by Dr. Mohan and Dr. Praveen. Prof. Bindu P. highlighted the vital role of nurses in resuscitation and post-resuscitation care.

A major highlight of the workshop was the four hands-on skill stations, where participants received practical training in airway obstruction management, airway management techniques, ECG rhythm identification, and defibrillator use. The students actively participated in the skill stations and practiced under expert supervision, gaining valuable real-life experience.

The workshop received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from attendees. The organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to the resource persons, management of Ahalia Group of Institutions, Principal, Administrator, faculty members, organizing committee, student volunteers, and participants for their support and cooperation.

ResusXcellence 2026 concluded successfully, achieving its goal of strengthening the emergency and resuscitation care competencies of future nursing professionals.
