The Fire and Rescue Mock Drill titled “Agni Raksha 360° Rapid Action Drill” was conducted at Ahalia College of Nursing on 27–28 February 2026 in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department, Kanjikode to enhance awareness and preparedness for fire emergencies among students and faculty. The programme was guided by Mr. Andrews, Station Officer, along with his team, who demonstrated fire prevention, rescue operations, evacuation procedures, and the use of fire safety equipment.
Ten committees were formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the drill, including Fire Management, Evacuation, Fire Fighting, Search and Rescue, First Aid, Site Safety, Transport, and Media Management. A total of 159 students and faculty members actively participated. The programme provided valuable hands-on training in emergency response and concluded with a post-evaluation session, where Fire and Rescue officials reviewed the drill and shared suggestions to strengthen future disaster preparedness.
